Events can be political in nature or unifying across community groups to bridge gaps.
Mutual Aid programs to benefit the local community in positive ways such as delivering groceries to the immigrant community in need while ICE terrorizes our streets. Bring your Volunteer spirit and big ideas!
Volunteer Coordinator
This team needs extroverts who love talking to people and matching up volunteers with their ideal roles where they can thrive and shine to be a part of this movement. Answer volunteer questions, keep tabs on initiatives and make sure teams have the volunteers they need. Put out calls for more volunteers when needed.
Content Contributors &
Graphic Designers
This team will help us put out great social media and other digital content. Graphic Designers will create materials to go along with articles written for storytelling, research and education, info graphics, funny comment clapbacks, social media banners, new group logos, etc.
Content Contributors will help with relevant pictures/videos and writing engaging short-form social media posts based on current events or educational materials. Understanding social media algorithms and analytics is a bonus.
Web Designers/Tech
This team will help us keep our website a living breathing extension of Indivisible TN, full of resources, ever changing material, and fresh new tech ideas to keep people engaged.
We need light coding on an ad hoc basis to integrate tools to our website, build databases, and introduce new tech/ideas to keep our movement growing and relevant. Security is always a core focus to protect our members and volunteers.
Safety Officers/Medics
This team is responsible for keeping our volunteers safe and being observant during protests and events. Volunteers for this team will work with their local Indivisible chapter or statewide unified events.
Storytelling/Media*
This team will be the heart of telling the stories of everyday Tennesseans and how politics and policies impact our lives. This will start small with journalistic articles and photography of Indivisible hosted events and expand over time.
Research/Education*
This team will work hand in hand with several other teams to dive into legislature and write up high level briefs to explain to the public, research how certain issues impact TN differently than other states, and do general educational posts/series to teach our audience about politics, government, voting, how laws are made, the democratic process, etc.
*There may be overlap between the Research/Education team and Storytelling/Media team depending on the topics and approach of messaging.
Organizer/Event Planner
Looking for super organized volunteers to create protests and community events. Work with organizers from other chapters or organizations, ensure all supplies and volunteer needs are met in a timely manner, permits obtained, comply with local laws and ordinances, scout locations, and help us get boots on the ground. Some events will be for your local Indivisible chapter and some will be for unified statewide actions.
